Our Story

Built on Hard Work.
Driven by Craftsmanship.

Earthworks Landscaping and Masonry LLC is a family-owned company built on hard work, pride, and a commitment to doing things the right way. What began as a summer job for brothers Nicholas and Phoenix has grown into a trusted, full-service landscaping and masonry company proudly serving Norwalk and communities throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut.

With more than 25 years of combined experience, our team brings skill, attention to detail, and a personal touch to every project. From thoughtful landscape design and professional installation to ongoing property maintenance and custom masonry work, we take the time to understand your vision and bring it to life.

We believe every property deserves the same care and attention we would give our own. That's why we stand behind our workmanship and focus on creating outdoor spaces that are beautiful, functional, and built to last.

At Earthworks Landscaping and Masonry LLC, we're not just improving properties—we're helping homeowners create outdoor spaces they can enjoy for years to come.

Why Homeowners Keep Calling Back

Coastal Connecticut is hard on outdoor construction. Salt air, clay pockets, ledge two feet down, freeze-thaw cycles every February. We build for that reality instead of hoping around it — which is why our walls from 2008 are still plumb.

Built Once, Built Right

Deep compacted base, proper drainage, real mortar. The parts nobody sees are why the parts you see stay put.

One Crew, Start to Finish

The same foreman who walks your property on day one hands you the final walkthrough. No subcontractor relay race.

Clean Site, Every Night

Tools stacked, walks swept, driveway clear. You live here while we work here, and we act like it.

Honest Numbers

Fixed written pricing with allowances spelled out. If something changes, you approve it in writing before we lift a shovel.

Customer Feedback

What Neighbors Say

Earthworks rebuilt our failing stone wall and regraded the whole side yard. Two heavy storms since and the basement has stayed bone dry. The crew was punctual, tidy and genuinely kind.

FAQ

Answers Before You Call

The twelve questions Norwalk homeowners ask us most.

We're based in Norwalk and work throughout Fairfield County — Westport, Wilton, Darien, New Canaan, Stamford, Fairfield, Weston and Greenwich. If you're within about 30 minutes of our yard, we can be on site.

Yes. Earthworks is fully licensed in Connecticut and carries general liability plus workers' compensation coverage. We're happy to send certificates before work begins.

Most Norwalk patios land between $28 and $55 per square foot depending on the stone, base depth, grading and access. We give a fixed written price after a site visit — no hourly surprises.

Always. We walk the property with you, take measurements and photos, discuss materials, and follow up with an itemized proposal within 3 business days.

A walkway is usually 2–4 days, a patio 1–2 weeks, and a full backyard with walls, lighting and plantings 3–5 weeks. Your proposal includes a realistic start and finish window.

April through November is ideal, but we build well into December using heated enclosures and cold-weather mortar. Winter is the smartest time to design and get on the spring schedule.

In most Norwalk neighborhoods, walls over four feet, work in wetlands buffers, or structures near a property line require permits. We handle the applications and engineering when needed.

Yes — repointing, resetting settled stone, rebuilding failed walls, and fixing drainage that caused the problem in the first place. Repairs are often a fraction of a full rebuild.

Drainage is half of what we do. French drains, dry wells, regrading, downspout extensions and permeable paving all get your water moving away from the house.

We do. Weekly mowing, spring and fall cleanups, mulch, pruning, fertilization and irrigation start-up/blow-out can be bundled into one flat monthly rate.

Two years on workmanship for hardscape and masonry, one full season on plantings we install and maintain, plus the manufacturer's warranty on pavers and lighting.

A deposit reserves your spot on the calendar, with progress payments at agreed milestones and the balance due at your final walkthrough. We accept check, ACH and all major cards.
